A Day in Monaco

Monaco is everything I could ever hope for- it's sophisticated, beautiful, clean, quaint, and luxurious.
I ADORED the elegant & classic fashion worn by both locals & visitors, and the fact that everything is just a short walk away. Every single corner is picture perfect, and I was amazed by the city-state's perfection!

Let's begin the perfect day in Monaco!

You just booked your hotel in Monaco, and now you are looking for where to start. Well, I have good news for you- you won't need very much transportation, because the size of Monaco itself would fit inside Central Park. Everything is pretty easy to walk to, but that is your preference! Lots of hotels have these cute little mini Fiats that can take you around, or you can ask for a driver.

Monaco is the second smallest country in the world, with the first being The Vatican. Because it is so small, you can really see everything in a day. However, you can't go wrong with a few days in Monaco. Monaco is one of the most luxurious places I have ever visited- I mean, it is know to be a "hub of the super-rich." Make sure you wear your finest outfits in Monaco- you don't want to be caught looking like a scrub here! Everyone in Monaco dresses very nicely, and acts accordingly. Personally, I love it.

First things first- breakfast.

For breakfast, grab some croissants and coffee at Café de Paris. If you are looking for something more enriching, any hotel brunch is bound to be exquisite. I did a little research, and these places are known to have the best brunch in Monte-Carlo:

After breakfast, you can walk around the beautiful city and take in everything that it has to offer.

Next, SHOPPING!

The shopping experience in Monte-Carlo is something all in itself. Enjoy the beautiful shops, scenery, and luxury all in one. It almost feels like being in Beverly-Hills with the mountains, but much, much nicer. Enjoy high end designers such as Chanel, Dior, & Bottega Veneta and also other shops such as Zara and boutique stores.

After you shop till you drop and snap pics for the gram, you've worked up quite an appetite. Put on your brand new outfit and head to Hotel de Paris' 8th floor restaurant Le Grill for one of the best views you have ever seen in your life with the most delectable dining. This restaurant is a bit of a splurge, but I promise you won't regret it.

Here are some other highly recommended places to eat:

Steak 'n Shake - this isn't your typical Steak 'n Shake, and it is definitely something to see. It sits beautifully right in front of Port Hercule. All of the delicious food from this restaurant comes from its own regional farm!
Sass Cafe

Now it's time to walk off all that dessert you ate at lunch! Walk over to the Japanese Gardens to enjoy the beautiful design in collaboration with the top gardeners from Monaco & Japan.

Either before or after dinner, you MUST make it a point to see inside the famous Monte-Carlo Casino.
Not only is there so much history behind it (including an original purpose to save the royal family from bankruptcy), but it is absolutely stunning and iconic. Fun fact about the Monte-Carlo Casino: it is for visitors only. It is actually illegal for locals to gamble!
